Carl teaches contractors to use AI without the hype, the risk, or the wasted time.
He has spent 20 years in the construction industry and 15 years in technology. He holds a Class B General Contractor license, an education degree, and has written three books. That combination is rare. It means he understands the problems contractors face on the job, how people actually learn, and how to make technology work in the field instead of in a slide deck.
Carl founded Iron Thread Consulting, an AI education company built for the construction trades. He delivers workshops, keynotes, and multi-month training programs for contractor associations nationwide, including chapters of NECA, SMACNA, MCA, AGC, and PCA.
The people in his sessions are project managers, estimators, safety managers, foremen, and association leaders. They want something they can use, not a demo they will forget by Thursday.
Carl is based in Derby, Kansas, just outside Wichita, and travels nationally for speaking and training engagements.

Carl is a Derby, Kansas guy, just outside Wichita, and he still carries the Midwest directness into every room. He and his wife Nicky have a full house, and he coaches youth soccer when he is not on the road.
He has written three books, which means he has had to sit down and organize his thinking long enough to fill a few hundred pages. That discipline shows up in how he teaches. Structured, clear, no filler.
He has been in or around construction most of his adult life. He knows what a bad day on a jobsite looks like, what it costs when a project goes sideways, and why most training programs do not stick. That is what pushed him to build something better.
